the flea markets of Athens are an inseparable part of the city's whole personality and charm.
this project documents the market on Filis street, which was also my home address for a period of four months.
every Wednesday the street became alive since early morning. the air would hum with chatter, shouts and all kinds of different scents would fill my nostrils.
from my balcony I could observe this undisturbed, but actually going on the street and walking trough the stands was my favourite part - only as a participant and not an observer one can actually be immersed in the cultural experience of the great city of Athens.
